Multi Counter
A multi counter runs several independent counters at the same time, each with its own name and total. This one has no limit on how many, shows them together in a grid with their own plus and minus keys, and adjusts any of them without making it the active one first.
It is free and needs no account. Many multi counters cap the free tier; this one does not.
Auto uses your step size, stops on its own at a min or max limit, and records the whole run as a single undo.

How to run several counters at once
Create one per thing you are counting, then switch to grid so they are all on screen.
Name the first counter
Name it after the thing being counted, not the task. “Cars northbound” rather than “Traffic survey”.
Press New counter for each category
There is no limit. Each new counter keeps its own value, start number and step size.
Switch to grid view
The grid button at the top of the counter list puts every counter on screen at once. Your choice is remembered on this device.
Use the plus and minus keys on each card
They adjust that counter directly. You never have to select a counter before changing it, which is what makes alternating between two of them workable.
Export when you are done
The download button beside the counter list writes a CSV with one row per counter, ready to paste into a sheet.
What people run several counters for
Anything with categories. The moment you are counting two things rather than one, a single total stops being recoverable afterwards.
Scores for several players
One counter per player, all visible. Negative totals are supported, which matters for penalty rounds and darts.
In and out at a door
Two counters side by side give live occupancy without arithmetic, and the quick keys mean no switching between them. The occupancy calculator gives the limit to count against.

How many counters is too many
There is no limit in the software. The practical ceiling is your screen: on a phone in grid view, two columns stay comfortable to about eight counters before scrolling costs more than it saves. On a laptop that rises to roughly twenty. Past that, the reliable pattern is to group categories and use a second counter for the breakdown rather than keeping thirty cells and hoping you tap the right one.
Every counter keeps its own name, value, start number, step size and limits. Export them all at once with the download button beside the counter list, which writes a CSV with one row per counter. There is no fixed limit. Create as many as you need; each keeps its own name, value, start number, step size and limits. The practical ceiling is screen space rather than software, at roughly eight on a phone in grid view and twenty on a laptop.

Yes. The undo history covers the last 100 changes across all counters, so a change made to the wrong counter is reversed with Undo or Ctrl+Z without touching the others.

No, and that is deliberate. Counters live in your browser's local storage on the device that made them, which is what lets the tool work with no account, no sign-up and no server. Use the CSV export to move totals.
