Privacy Policy

Overview
Simple Online Counter is designed to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains exactly what happens (and does not happen) with your information when you use this site.
Information we collect
Simple Online Counter does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email to use the tool, and does not store your counter values on a server. Every counter you create, along with its name, value, and settings, is saved only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. We never receive, see, or store that data ourselves.
Cookies and local storage
To understand how the site is used and improve it, we use Microsoft Clarity, which may collect usage information such as the pages you visit and how you interact with them. To keep the site free, we also show ads through Google AdSense, which may set cookies to measure and select the ads you see. Both are provided by those companies under their own privacy policies. We never sell your data.
Your counters are not part of any of this. Every counter you create, with its name, value and settings, is saved only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device; that storage is strictly necessary for the tool to work, and we never receive or store those values. See the Cookies Policy for what is set on your device and how to control it.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). Since no personal data is collected from any user, this applies equally to all visitors.
Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA)
If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because Simple Online Counter does not collect or store personal data on its servers, there is generally nothing held about you to request. Any data that exists (your counters) lives only in your browser and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
International users and data transfers
Because counter data never leaves your device, there is no cross-border transfer of your counter data to worry about. This site is intended for use by visitors worldwide, including the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, for example if advertising, analytics, or account features are added, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date, and material changes will be clearly noted.
